How do I apply?

When is the application deadline?
March 1, 2017

Can I enroll in summer courses during the internship?
No, this is a full-time commitment.

Can I receive research credit for the internship?
No credit will be granted for the internship

I am planning a summer vacation — Can I miss a week?
No, interns are expected to participate each week of the summer research experience.

I am a full-time student at UW-Madison, but not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident. Can I still apply to the program?
Yes, you can still apply.

How many applicants will be accepted?
Up to 10 applicants.

How is this program funded and who is its sponsor?
The program is funded by the National Institutes of Health and is a partnership between the School of Medicine and Public Health, the School of Pharmacy, and the School of Veterinary Medicine.

Where should recommendations be sent?

What is meant by “full-time commitment”?
You are expected to commit 40 hours per work week.

I participated in SPUUR last summer. Can I apply again?
