Interested students are required to submit an application in the form of one PDF document via e-mail to Elizabeth Bingman. The application should include:
- one page personal statement of interests and career goals
- curriculum vitae
- a minimum of one recommendation letter from a third year clerkship faculty supervisor
- medical school transcript
Applications must be submitted by March 31 of the year a scholarship is desired. Applicants will be notified by early-mid May of the outcome of their application.
Students receiving a scholarship will be required to apply as a visiting student through the UW School of Medicine and Public Health and pay the $125 nonrefundable fee. This will be reimbursed to the scholarship recipient.
The Medical Student Education Office in the UW Department of Urology will work with the recipient to identify a four-week period for the elective that fits the availability of the program.
Scholarship checks will be issued after the recipient has successfully completed the first two weeks of their visiting clerkship, and at the conclusion of their clerkship.
